The Cell, Inc Announces SAE J 1321 test results… 24.5% Fuel Saved!
Orlando, Florida (CN) – The Cell, Inc announces the SAE J 1321 / ATA-TMC Type II test results. The test was run on two, 2010 IHC Prostar Day Cabs equipped with Cummins ISX-450ST engines on July 15, 2010.
The results showed a 24.5% Fuel saved with a 32.5% Improvement.
The Data is achieved Via the fuel consumption percentage of fuel savings and percentage improvement which are derived by the calculation methods outlined in Joint TMC/SAE Fuel Consumption Test Procedures Type II, SAE J1321. Properly conducted tests using portable tank weigh methods are considered, based on test experience using long-haul test routes, to have an overall accuracy within +/-1%.
“This government certified test, resulted in the most significant savings ever obtained in the history of this test. This can be attributed directly to the use of The Cell Inc’s, The Cell.”
During the test, The Cell results were showing such a significant improvement that the testing company re-ran one of the runs because it was .009% out of the test specification. The reason? “Everyone will be submitting these results to extreme scrutiny, so they had better be perfect”, states the P.E. running the testing. His experience in this is slightly more than the average testing facility, as he has been doing this for over 30 years. He was also on the original team that the Government commissioned to come up with a test to determine accurately whether a fuel saving technique was truly saving fuel or not. This is only one of several ongoing successful testing’s currently underway with The Cell. The Cell Inc continues to test these and many other types of engines that are compatible with The Cell. The Cell is now on more trucks than any other Hydrogen system in the world.
